This site is a tribute to John Bairstow. He is much loved and will always be remembered.  John died of advanced prostate cancer.  He had no symptoms.  He developed a back ache which he initially thought was down to home working.  When he was diagnosed the cancer was very advanced.  At present there is no national screening programme for prostate cancer.  More funding to promote testing, raise awareness and research is needed for more treatments to be found.
